When you really look into things, your relationships with others are a support structure. If you wonder from time to time how you can be a better partner, or be a better friend, it’s incredibly simple: find out what their dreams and help and support them in making them a reality
Let’s face it, it’s virtually impossible to achieve things on your own. It’s even more so when you don’t have someone in your life that wants to see you do it. Knowing that someone is supporting you, that someone has your back, and when you have that, you feel accepted in what you’re pursuing. You get a sense of confidence and belief in yourself that helps you to keep going especially when faced with obstacles that seem impossible to overcome.

The people that are close to you feel the same way and want that same support.

If you want to improve a relationship you have with someone and be a better partner, it’s important that you honour that person’s dreams however you can:

Figure out what they want to do, to become, or achieve, and then help them do it. Don’t do it for them—it’s their dream, after all—but show interest and offer tangible support. How can you do that today?

Find a small way to show your support every day and it will do more than you think. Even just a supportive text can make someone feel accepted, valued, and more capable of accomplishing their goals. Give support and they’ll always remember that. It’s okay to be realistic them when it’s necessary, but you don’t ever want to be the reason someone didn’t at least try to do what they want.
